Stephen Fisher
Managing Director
Stephen and Karen embarked on share dairy farming in 1996, driven by the dream of owning their own farm. Fifteen years later, their journey, which included being named Australian Supreme Dairy Farmer of the Year in 2008, culminated in farm ownership. Starting with very little, they realised their dream through dedication and seizing the right opportunities. They also aspired to extend these opportunities to others with similar ambitions.
This vision led to the creation of Circular Head Farms a decade ago. At that time, Stephen observed a growing interest in local farmland from international corporate investment funds and a diminishing availability of opportunities for individuals to enter the dairy industry and start building equity. To address this, Stephen and Karen sought to enable such pathways within their community, allowing not just sharefarmers but also local Australians to invest in and partially own the land, thereby keeping the wealth generated within the community.
